If you would like to see enormous trio nix (greenhead) turtles you can catch the 6am boat from the boat co-op's pier.  During the trip you will not see the Caretta-Caretta but the river turtles.  This is a fantastic trip with an opportunity to also see the sun rising and go swimming later on.

Some of the many boats run by the local co-operative.  The Dalyan Boat Corporation was set up in 1983 to be the first Boat Corporation in Turkey.  It has 150 members and 150 boats of different sizes and is run by local people in Dalyan.

You can take boat trips from Dalyan harbour, sail along the Dalyan River to Turtle Beach on the Mediterranean Sea.  On the way back visit the ancient city of Caunos or just stop in front on the Lycian Rock Tombs for photographs.

Cruise around Lake Koycegiz.  There are many options available including private hire so you can arrange your own cruise.  Prices are very reasonable.
Experience an unforgettable day rafting on the Dalaman River

For a high adrenaline holiday adventure you can join the rafting tours on the 229 kilometer Dalaman River.  The difficulty level of the upper side of the river where you can enjoy rafting all year round is graded at 5.  The lower side has a difficulty level of 3-4.

You will be collected from Villa Lochville at approx. 8.30am and after a drive of 30 minutes you will reach the meeting point in Beyobasi village.  As soon as everyone has arrived you will be driven to the starting point where qualified guides will give you a technical brief.  You will be provided with life jackets and helmets.  The boats are suitable for for 8 people and there will be a skipper in every boat.

There are loads of places in Dalyan where you can hire a bike and with no hills in Dalyan, it is a great place to go out and explore, not to mention the exercise you will get.
Arc of golden sand at Iztuzu (Turtle) Beach in Dalyan
Iztuzu (Turtle) Beach
A beautiful arc of fine golden sand stretching from the base of a pine clad mountain to a river delta.  Even the narrowest point of the beach is 50 metres wide.  There are no houses, shops or hotels in sight but you will find cafes, cabins and sunbeds.  Food is limited to sandwich snacks, bottled and canned drinks, including foreign beer.  There is also a stall where local style pancakes are made.
